Elks Kick on Sept. 25

Save the Date. On Saturday, September 25, 2021, Steel Valley Soccer Club will be hosting the Wilkins Elks Soccer Kick Competition, at St. Therese Field. Anyone between the ages of 3 and 13 (with your age as of January 1, 2021 being your age for the competition) can compete. No advance registration is required and, more importantly, participation is entirely free. Before or after your child's game on Saturday, have him or her compete. Each contestant gets five kicks (and two practice kicks), with points awarded depending on the placement of the kicks. You can kick anytime from 10:00 a.m. through 2:15 p.m. The winners in each age group qualify for the state championship in State College in November. The Wilkins Elks pay the costs for the contestants at the state level, so again, the entire competition is free. Please save this date, and have your child participate. It will be fun for the players and easy for you.
